Vizio MT11x Tablet

The company is so far tight lipped about the price of Vizio MT11x but Vizio is known for its aggressive pricing strategy and is expected to follow the same for its tablet range as well. Not much can be speculated on the performance of Vizio MT11x but it is expected that AMD Z60 dual-core 1GHz processor will give better performance nVidia's Tegra 3, which powers the Microsoft Surface. On the downside, the AMD processors give a shorter battery life and the same might be true for Vizio tablet as well.

Apart from tablet, Vizio also announced that it is refreshing its laptop range. The company has introduced Thin + Light Touch notebooks range, which offers 14-inch and 15.6-inch laptops. Just like the Vizio MT11x, 15.6-inch Vizio notebooks ship with a 1920x1080 screen, while the 14-inch Vizio notebooks comes with 1600x900 displays.

SHARP
Sharp is jumping on the "ultrahigh definition" bandwagon by introducing two super-clear TVs and one ultra-HD computer monitor that will give PC users something to brag about to Apple fans in love with the high-resolution Retina display.
Sharp's TV
At the annual International CES gadget show in Las Vegas, Sharp is showing off a 32-inch monitor that uses its IGZO technology, based on a semiconductor material called indium gallium zinc oxide.
Sharp Corp. touts IGZO for its high resolution, low power, and very accurate touch response. The monitor measures 3,840-by-2,160 pixels, giving it about 8.3 million pixel. Apple's largest MacBook Pro with Retina display boasts 5.2 million pixels on a 15.4-inch screen.
The monitor, planned for launch in February, responds to 10 points of contact at once - one for each finger.

QUALCOMM
Few video cameras record at that resolution, which is four times higher than regular high definition. But Qualcomm Inc., a leading maker of chips for cellphones, says it has a solution: With its chips, smartphones could be recording video in Ultra HD as early as this year.
Paul Jacobs, the CEO of the San Diego-based chipmaker, revealed a lineup of new chips in a keynote speech Monday, ahead of the opening of the show.
Qualcomm's Press Conference
The topline model, the Snapdragon 800, has 75 percent more horsepower than Qualcomm's old fastest model. That makes it fast enough to record and playback Ultra HD video, the company said. It doesn't consume more power, so the battery life should be the same.
Qualcomm is sending out samples of the new chips right now. It will ship them in volume in a few months, so they could show up in gadgets on store shelves this summer.
The 800 chips are for premium phone models and tablets, much like Qualcomm's current top-line chips are used in flagship phones like the LG Optimus G and HTC Droid DNA.
Smartphone displays have been getting sharper and bigger, but Qualcomm doesn't quite envision them having as many pixels as the new 84-inch and 110-inch ultra-high definition TV sets.
The maximum resolution for a display with a Snapdragon 800 is slightly lower than Ultra HD, but higher than regular high definition. That means the Snapdragon 800 chip can play back video recorded in Ultra HD, but won't be displaying all the recorded detail.
In a similar way, many of today's smartphones can record "1080p"-resolution video and play it back, but have displays that don't show the full recorded resolution.

VIEWSONIC
ViewSonic has unveiled the VSD240, a new 24-inch monitor powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, aimed at enterprise users. The smart display will be available in the US beginning April at an expected price of $499.
ViewSonic VSD240
Engadget reports that the VSD240 sports a plasticky design, but has a responsive screen. Specs wise, the monitor features a full-HD display and is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Tegra 3 chip along with a TI multi-core OMAP processor.
The monitor also comes with a 1.3-megapixel webcam, microphone and speakers. Connectivity options on the VSD240 include WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, Ethernet and USB ports, along with an SD card slot.
