Micromax A116 Canvas HD V/S Samsung Galaxy Grand : The Big Comparison

Many of our Fans are asking us on our Facebook Page, whether to buy Samsung Galaxy Grand or the Micromax A116 Canvas HD. So here we are with a Big Comparison between the two.

Firstly the similarities :

Both the phones have a 5 inch display
Both the phones run Android 4.1 Jellybean

Now the differences :

Canvas has a 1280X720 resolution,
While galaxy grand is offering a poor 800X480 resolution.
Canvas has 1.2GHz Quad-core processor,
While galaxy grand has a 1.2GHz Dual-Core processor.
Canvas is having 0.3 MP cam in front ( also known as VGA ),
While Galaxy grand a better 2 MP camera in front.
Canvas has 4GB internal storage ( Expandable to 64GB ),
While Galaxy has a massive 8GB internal storage ( Expandable to 64GB )
Price of Canvas is Rs.14,999,
While galaxy grand is priced at Rs.21,500.

Conclusion :

Now according to the specification, Micromax Canvas A116 HD is a clear winner, with a better Processor and a excellent 720p resolution. The above differences are what makes both of these devices stand out. The Micromax A116 is certainly impressive at the sub 15k price point which makes the specifications ever more attractive. But if you want the brand, samsung is a must for you. Although this does not matters as by the performance Micromax is a clear winner. So, we leave it up to you decide which one you prefer out of the two.

Micromax A116 Canvas HD

First of all sorry for interruption  as we promised we will be posting - MWC Preview, but due to the very much hyped and recently announced Canvas HD, we are not able to post it, and it will be following this post soon.
Anyways, back to the point now, it's our First-Of-A-Kind for review of a Phone, so cheers for our new step!!
After the huge success of Canvas 2, Micromax is back with Micromax A116 Canvas HD, actually Canvas 3. Announced on 21st January, this superfone, we think, is best phone is the market right now to buy. Although the price is not announced officially at the moment, but as the company said it press conference, it is going to be anywhere below Rs.15,000. But we think it will be available is the local market for around Rs.12,000 in India.
Firstly some talks and then the specs. Micromax A116 Canvas HD is almost as identical in design as Canvas 2 was. But Canvas HD is a bit sleeker and is more defined along the edges. The resolution of Canvas HD is far better than Canvas 2, and the display is IPS, while Canvas 2 had IPS LCD. The processor is also a great one, Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7, PowerVR SGX544 GPU with a MediaTek MT6589 Chipset. Battery life is quite good for a 5-inch phone. Camera also works just perfectly. This device boasts a 4.1 Jelly Bean, which works excellent with Internet, and surprisingly is also, smooth and the pinch-in and pitch-out zoom worked perfectly.
